Why we started eating Vegan!

Veganism is a popular fad now but I'm hopeful that it stays around for a very long time. Back in 2011, our family had their fair share of health problems with doctors encouraging medications and surgeries but I had to stand my ground and say "NO!". I could not imagine starting medications at a young age or having surgeries with no guarantees of the problems reoccuring. As a medical professional, I started to study plant-power medicines and the impact of veganism on sicknesses and diseases. I was so shocked at all that I learned! OMGoodness!! I learned that what we were battling (cysts, severe allergies, hypertension, high cholesterol, fatigue, etc) could be healed and/or reversed by just eating plants and eliminating processed foods. You see, in nursing school, I didn't learn any of this valuable knowledge, so I had to take it upon myself to empower my own mind. I read books, watched amazing documentaries, spoke to vegans, etc. I shared this with Jay and he was like...game on!!! We beat our health problems by eating vegan. We then eventually started our journey by slowly transitioning to pescetarianism and now we eat about 95% vegan. We took our time and are still taking our time and we will see if we max out at 100% vegan. Today, our blood work is at optimal levels and has been for the past 8 years. Watch the video below!!
